Why reclaimed wood?

The Environment:

Concerning the impact of your construction on the environment, reclaimed lumber is the most responsible option. Given the protections our current old-growth forest have earned, the only environmentally friendly manner in which to harvest old growth is by reclaiming and reusing.

           The Character:

Salvaged from degrading structures, reclaimed wood is dried, milled and sanded to bring out the character only achievable by decades of aging. Each piece of wood has a story to tell. Did it house cattle on the Great Plains through the Great Depression or was it cut from docks built to harbor great American steam ships through the turn of the century?

The Quality:

All materials are hand selected and sorted with a keen eye for quality and character. The highest quality materials are then hand milled here in Montana by craftsman, paid a living wage who take great pride in their work and the beauty of these rare materials.
